Architect, writer and design director of Herman Miller from 1945 to 1972. Nelson brought the Eameses, Noguchi and Girard to the company, and his own office produced the Bubble Lamps, the Marshmallow Sofa, the Coconut Chair and a long run of wall clocks for Howard Miller.
